A "Tweener', elements of Lost Lake (steep bevels and extremely heavy basal edge grinding) and Hardin (very short base, barbs-to-basal corners, and barbs that are parallel to the basal corners, not 45o down-cast barbs. The pressure chipping (VERY high end workmanship) is clearly Early Archaic, 7500BO knapping. We can debate the 'classification' to slot the Spencer County, Indiana, point, but patination of the glossy hornstone is unmistakable--lifetime (mine) guaranteed authentic. Length is 1&13/16", and may have reached 1&7/8" if not for a tiny flat spot on the very tip. Width is 1&3/16", with 5/16" thickness. The thickness is very proportional, and indicates (as does the beveling) that the blade was considerably longer as first made. Nice point, real. Shipping is $8.00, checks or M.O.s are welcomed.
