Out of a Hopkins County, Kentucky, creek, strongly patinated by the water & minerals (and time), this Kirk Stemmed Serrated is--as best I can identify the flint--a gold-green shade of St. Louis Green Chert--aka McLean County, KY, chert--I've seen masses of the raw flint in creeks in the Calhoun, KY, area creeks, always seems to patinate to this 'greenish shade'--2&1/4" by 1&3/16". There is some basal damage that goes back 7500 or so years, the nicks happening earlier in the use cycle of the small point/ projectile as the Kirk Culture hunter ground the base smooth after the dings occurred--then re-hafted the piece. Good piece, real. Shipping is $8.000, checks, cash, or M.O.s are the only ways I take payment--Roy A.
